After coming to the decision that you would like or need a KitchenAid stand
mixer it is time to go out searching for one.
When you begin the research you may find that they are more expensive
than you may have originally anticipated.
Depending on which model you choose, the KitchenAid 5 quart or Artisan
series mixers, the KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus Series, or the KitchenAid
Professional 600 Series 6qt 575 watt stand mixer to just name some, you may find
that the price will be upwards of five hundred dollars.
The solution to finding what you want and still being able to afford it
in this economy is by finding a great deal on the model that you want. Many places sell refurbished KitchenAid stand mixers. Now this doesn’t mean that you go buy a KitchenAid mixer from a garage sale, not knowing what the real condition of the equipment is. Refurbished means that the mixer has been reconditioned by the manufacturer, in this case a KitchenAid factory, to a “like new” condition. These often include shorter warranties, such as a six-month warranty. Oftentimes you can find a refurbished KitchenAid stand mixer for a third or even up a half off the original price. If you don’t want a refurbished KitchenAid stand mixer then you should try looking at websites that are having specials on the KitchenAid stand mixers or stores that are discounting everything in the store, such as on a sale weekend. If you find a coupon that would apply to a KitchenAid mixer go into the store and see if you can apply that coupon to whatever sales or specials may be going on in order to receive as much money off as possible. Don’t settle for the prices that are in store either. Plenty of websites have better deals than you can find in store and sometimes they include free shipping or you can find site-to-store shipping as well. If you don’t choose a color right away then try not to be picky. On many websites you can find certain KitchenAid stand mixers of one color that may be cheaper than the rest. Look at the variety of colors and the price attached to each one. You will probably like one of the colors that is in the lower half of the price range and that will still match your kitchen. If you absolutely can’t find a good deal (which I find this hard to imagine) or you are deciding that you want a brand new one from the store then you do have one other option. Often times you will find that a store is giving some of the accessories away for free or with a rebate. These include items that you will most likely want to purchase in the future such as a KitchenAid mixer cover or attachments such as a food grinder, rotor slicer, shredder, citrus juicer, or some of the pasta attachments. If you can purchase these items for free then you are still getting a good deal overall, even if you have made the decision to purchase a KitchenAid stand mixer at the full price.
